Qlocktwo Classic, sized 45 x 45 cm, can be mounted onto the wall or set up in a freestanding position like a table clock. The front panel can be exchanged quickly and is made from laser-cut brushed stainless steel, mat powder-coated stainless steel, or from polished acrylic glass available in several colors and in Arabic and English. This striking designer object has special functions; it automatically adjusts to ambient light and can even display the seconds.
The Qlocktwo Classic Artist’s Edition is a limited-edition piece created by Emirati artist Eman AlHashemi, one of two winners of the 2016 Qlocktwo Artist’s Edition Award, presented under the patronage of the International Emerging Artist Award.
The concept of the design explores the unpredictable nature of things, with a focus on contrasts. According to AlHashemi, the combination of random and bold marks delineated by their positioning and the layering of shapes is an attempt to exert control over chaos and give it order, and is reflective of her experimental style.
About the Brand
Qlocktwo makes you stop and look at time in a different way. It displays the moment with written words and turns it into a statement. Letters are illuminated to spell out the time, and dots at the corner pinpoint the minutes in-between.
