Baobab Collection candles are created using high quality raw materials sourced in Europe. The glass is crafted in Poland, the mineral wax comes from Germany, and the scents are created and perfected in Grasse. Each Baobab candle is hand-poured in multiple pouring phases into glass containers that have been hand-blown by master craftsmen, making each candle completely unique.

The Folia collection was inspired by a visit to an art exhibition featuring works by two of the 20^th century’s leading artists, Matisse and Bonnard. The exhibition captured a harmony of mutual love of the south, its colors, its vegetation, and the sea, giving rise to the idea of making ceramic pieces with plant motifs, featured in the creations that make up the Folia collection.

From the design to the finished product, it takes all the skill of the Portuguese craftsmen, who have also sourced organic materials to mold into the earth between the scrubland and the sea. In the name of each ceramic candle, homage is paid to this land of the south, where rocks and shrubs create an admirable ‘tableaux vivants’.

Maquis is the name given to the Mediterranean vegetation consisting of scrub and small shrubs.

The Maquis scented candle is made from handmade ceramic in Portugal. The matte green enamel ceramic exterior is contrasted by a glossy pink enameled interior. The materials contrast and complement each other in this fragrant, sculptural object, making an unusual and elegant decoration for summer homes. The outside of the ceramic is decorated with plant motifs, branches, and leaves, recalling the name of the candle.

Nutmeg, Cinnamon Wood, Galbanum: The fragrance remains in the woody family, with an aromatic top note of nutmeg. It returns to its original identity with cinnamon wood in the heart note, followed by a resinous base note, like that of galbanum, which brings an herbal freshness that’s very pleasant in summer.

Product care:
* Burn within sight.
* Keep away from things that catch fire.

* When burning more than one candle at the same time, always ensure that at least 20 cm space is left between burning candles.
* Do not let candle burn for longer than one hour once the entire surface of the candle is liquid.
* Do not let the candle burn to the end.
* Do not leave a burning candle unattended or close to easily flammable objects.
* Do not place candles near a source of heat. Put candles on a heat resistant surface.
* To reduce sooting, trim the wick 0.6 cm each time the candle is to be relit.
* Avoid using in drafty areas. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
