Description

The Enxoval cabinet is an iconic design piece. A limited-edition of 30, it takes its name from the Portuguese word for a young woman’s trousseau which traditionally consisted of clothing and linens that she created in preparation for her married life. The front of the cabinet is dominated by intricate patterns crafted from Swarovski crystals that were inspired by patterns found in the traditional craft of crochet and are often passed down through generations by female family members. The result is a stunning combination of modern materials used to share a story of history and culture, creating a touching synthesis between past and present.

The Enxoval cabinet is the result of over 480 hours of work and is made of molded Corian which was manually perforated with handcrafted inlay of over 36,000 Swarovski crystals. The interior part is completely coated with Palissandro wood, finished with a matt varnish, and the embedded drawer handles are made of handcrafted gold leaf.

Materials: Exterior of thermos-molded Pearl Grey Corian, manually perforated with handcrafted inlay of Swarovski Crystals in amethyst. Interior of Santos Palisander wood finished with gloss varnish, and drawer handles of handcrafted gold leaf.
