The Shanghai Line depicts the skyline of Shanghai as seen from the Bund, a waterfront area and protected historical district in central Shanghai. Landmarks detailed include the Hongkou suburb, the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center with its characteristic design, Jin Mao Tower, the Shanghai Tower, which is the world’s second tallest building, and the beautiful Century Park.

Situated on the Huangpu River, near the mouth of the Yangzi Jiang in eastern China, Shanghai is the country’s most populous city and is home to more than 24 million inhabitants. It has the world’s biggest metro network, with 576 km of track, 14 lines and 337 stations. Shanghai also boasts China’s highest life expectancy—its residents live an average of 81.3 years. From the Bund, a boulevard situated on the riverbank, you can see the financial district of Pudong on the other side, with its futuristic towers like the Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Tower, the Shanghai World Financial Center, and Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest skyscraper.
