Designed by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen, the Junto series is inspired by the traditional Spanish botijo. The design is both rigorous and soft, with a hearty, handmade feel from its rustic, fired clay.
Just like the typical botijo, Junto is made from terracotta, which has been used for centuries for its cooling properties. The botijo’s characteristic combination of two spouts, one for filling and another for pouring, is reinterpreted in Junto’s sleek, contemporary design.
The series alternates different surfaces: matte and glazed, grooved and smooth, creating an attractive dynamic. Add a touch of southern warmth to the table and let the earthy red color of fired terracotta bring depth and glow to a light Scandinavian décor.
