Description
Lisa Pappon, artist and designer from Brazil, began her collaboration with Bull & Stein creating unique and distinctive ceramic apple sculptures as a universal symbol reflecting desire and voluptuousness. Utilizing nature’s gifts such as clay, organic pigments, and precious stones, gold or silver, she reinterprets nature’s mystic fruit in oversized, exaggerated ceramic apple sculptures up to 180 cm in diameter. Expanding this juicy collection to include other fruits, such as cherries, pears, and bananas, Pappon combines classic shapes and unconventional colors to create sculptural pieces that look luscious enough to eat. A rainbow of colors come in glossy or matte velvet finishes as well as shimmering metallics. Gleaming glazes, vibrant hues, the luster of gold and elegance of silver evoke the ceramic fruit’s natural beauty in untold variety. These oversized sculptures add an element of the surreal to any interior or outdoor environment.
