Baobab Collection candles are created using high quality raw materials sourced in Europe. The glass is crafted in Poland, the mineral wax comes from Germany, and the scents are created and perfected in Grasse. Each Baobab candle is hand-poured in multiple pouring phases into glass containers that have been hand-blown by master craftsmen, making each candle completely unique.

The Heritage collection of scented candles reflects Baobab’s commitment to preserving the exceptional craft of glass engraving, passed down through generations. The art, which is increasingly rare today, finds new life through this collection which honors the craftsmanship and enduring legacy of the artisans. To create each container in the Heritage collection, the stylized design is placed on the glass in a very modern way. Lines and intersection adorn an object where colored transparency and grooves come to life like jewels under the flames. The names of the three candles in this collection pay homage to the architecture of the great Cistercian abbeys, whose marvelous and inspiring architecture convey a telluric energy of breathtaking beauty.

Named for the Cistercian Abbey of Villers-la-Ville, a jewel of Romanesque and Gothic architecture which was founded in 1146. This magical place in Walloon Brabant in Belgium opened its doors to Baobab enabling them to create this collection of engraved glass candles. Painted in the Baobab workshop with a transparent grey veil, the glass is then hand-engraved in a graphic décor inspired by Art Deco. We lose ourselves in the object’s appearance, where past and present blend in an aesthetic that is both decorative and unusual.

Hyacinth, Lily, Almond Blossom: The floral scent of the Villers candle is inspired by a springtime stroll through the ruins of the Cistercian abbey of Villers-la-Ville. Top notes of hyacinth are reinforced by heart and base notes of lily and almond blossom. This gourmet trail gives this candle and its grey engraved glass a delicate, addictive allure.

Product care:
* Burn within sight.
* Keep away from things that catch fire.

* When burning more than one candle at the same time, always ensure that at least 20 cm space is left between burning candles.
* Do not let candle burn for longer than one hour once the entire surface of the candle is liquid.
* Do not let the candle burn to the end.
* Do not leave a burning candle unattended or close to easily flammable objects.
* Do not place candles near a source of heat. Put candles on a heat resistant surface.
* To reduce sooting, trim the wick 0.6 cm each time the candle is to be relit.
* Avoid using in drafty areas. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
