Description
With a name that refers to a type of bird called the Coal Tit in Breton, Pen Duick is the name best known for a series of ocean racing yachts sailed by French yachtsman Eric Tabarly. The name Pen Duick was first used by Tabarly’s father to name the 1898 Fife gaff cutter that he purchased that his son Eric learned to sail on. Eric Tabarly then used the name for a series of successful racing yachts through the 60s and 70s.
