Description
A rare Japanese “SEIKO” mechanism sourced from Japan, circa 1960's. It holds a peculiar shape - long and narrow; originating from a vintage lady’s watch. It has a refined and smooth texture - not too decorative, nor plain. With just enough mechanical exposure, to stand out. Slim and dressy. 17 Jewels (Rubies), jewels are ruby bearing-points inset by the watchmaker to reduce friction caused by the movement of rotating gears.
About the Brand
Reinterpreting the past and integrating it into modern designs, AHW designs incorporate a mix of industrial, modern and traditional techniques to focus on the individual and the story. With an aim to expose an unexpected art form through experimentation, AHW utilizes vintage and antique timepieces, industrial fragments, raw brass and silver to coax the aesthetic from the defunct. This reimagining of the old world redefines the genre and shares it with today’s modern era while incorporating a fresh appreciation of how it all came to be.
