The Granny Mug collection shares four distinct designs, each named for a different grandmother. The contemporary-shaped mug depicts an image of a traditional, vintage flower teacup edged in gold.

This unique cup is a meeting between a contemporary porcelain cup and one of an earlier age. It is a symbol of the meeting of young and old that we all should encourage. Because whether it is your parents, your grandparents or that old lady living down the street, they all have wonderful stories and lessons to teach us. That is what makes this a striking design. Classics never go out of style!

Named for Alessandra Casnellie, who was born on April 24th, 1927 in Positano, Italy and married Gino in 1943. She has four children: Sergio, Valerio, Bella & Julia and worked in Circus Monzi for 16 years. Her hobby is cooking.

In her own words: “After Valerio fell from the trapezium, our circus life stopped abruptly. It took me years to get used to the fact that we would not travel the world anymore.”
