The Tourbillon Vase is a sculptural statement piece from the Foz Collection, inspired by the swirling eddies and vortexes where the river meets the sea. As the waters from ocean and land mix, the line between the two is visible as turbulent motions from distant places finally join. The pieces from this collection originate from the sound of this event, reflecting a unique time and place.
The spiraling form of the Tourbillon Vase evokes the cyclical rhythm of water in constant motion; a graceful dance between control and chaos. Deigned through Claraval’s sound-based process, Tourbillon is a physical echo of movement frozen in time, rich in symbolism and flow.
In celadon color, the soft green glaze brings a delicate luminosity to the piece. The translucent finish gently highlights the spiraled ridges, creating a sense of depth and movement, like light filtering through water.
