Jaime Hayon’s latest creation in porcelain for Lladró is a new character sure to be another resounding success. Ten years after first creating The Guest, the celebrated Spanish designer is presenting Embraced, a person hugging himself. In the artist’s own words: “it represents the concept of looking after yourself. The character in Embraced is contorted to completely wrap around himself and be at one.” In this handcrafted creation, Hayon focused on the beauty of the form, and more particularly, meaning and symbolism.
