Functionalist Clip uses a clean Soviet Russian mechanism from the circa 1960's. Medium-sized and sitting towards the end of the tie-clip bar for an offset look. Refined matte finish with polished edges. Suitably subtle, balanced and neutral, apt for any tie and situation. Utilizing a rounded rectangular Russian movement, with 17 ruby jewels and originating from the 1960's. Jewels are ruby bearing-points inset by the watchmaker to reduce friction caused by the movement of rotating gears.
About the Brand
Reinterpreting the past and integrating it into modern designs, AHW designs incorporate a mix of industrial, modern and traditional techniques to focus on the individual and the story. With an aim to expose an unexpected art form through experimentation, AHW utilizes vintage and antique timepieces, industrial fragments, raw brass and silver to coax the aesthetic from the defunct.
