Legendary cartographer (map maker) Jodocus Hondius worked in Amsterdam during the 1600s, then one of the world’s commercial hubs. Hondius was best known for his early maps of the New World and Europe and his work helped establish Amsterdam as the center of cartography in the 17th century. Here, the Hondius Vintage Half in pewter and ivory captures a perspective on the world of the past, using original charts for accuracy.
